Zombie films must have

1.)
STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!

You should watch at least 5 Zombie films. Play plenty of games like Left for Dead 2. Consume as much zombified media as possible before planning!

2.)
REASONS
Make a reason to why you have zombies. E.G- Apocalypse, Disease, Virus.

3.)
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!!
The location is especially important in productions it can really help the audience follow the story better, for example in horror films you wouldn't have some happier place like heaven unless you're doing a psychological horror. Better locations would be cemeteries or abandoned streets.

4.)
SCRIPT!
Scripts are obviously important in productions, and are good to start as early as possible.

5.)
ACTORS!
Granted you most likely wont get the next Angelina Jolie or Will Smith, but gathering some friends and have them volunteer or audition for their parts is always a good idea. You need to have at least 15 actors to play as the zombie to show the zombie horde scenes. The audience are clever to know if the same actor is just wearing different makeup each time.

6.)
DETAIL
Details for movie making are always important, like characters, time not just of the day but what year? Sometimes these details can help to pick out a title. For example, 2012 was supposed to be set in 2012 and showing what could happen, and so came it's title.

7.)
CAMERA, ACTION!
After all these steps have been followed, then you can start filming the scenes. It's always best to do a scene at a time because of how much memory it'll take up on the camera.

8.)
EDITING
One the scenes have been filmed to how they were imagined, then its time to upload to an editing software to start working on music, credits, and edits in general. This will make a film more entertaining to watch.

9.)
FINISHED
Once you've finished editing, you can then pat your self on the back. You are done!
